Larry Gard, PhD

Senior Consultant

Larry Gard has spent the last 20 years working with organizations and their employees toward greater effectiveness and productivity. He helps organizations develop key leaders, ensuring their executive pool is sufficiently deep and appropriately skilled. He also has extensive experience providing advice and counsel to senior executives on a wide variety of issues related to strengthening talent management. Larry is based in Chicago, Illinois.

Dr. Gard has several specialty areas, including helping technical professionals hone their leadership skills. He also works with important but underperforming contributors, helping them close performance gaps and increase their value to the organization. Larry’s experience has made him extremely familiar with the cultures endemic to professional service firms. He has worked with such organizations, helping them identify operational and leadership obstacles that prevent the firm from realizing its full potential. His exceptional ability to “read between the lines” provides his clients with invaluable insight into their organizational dynamics.

Larry is a member of the American Psychological Association and the Society of Consulting Psychology. Somehow he balances a strong interest in architecture and automotive design with his love for spending time at the rural cottage he shares with his partner of 23 years.
